ABOUT HARVEST

ABOUT HARVEST

Harvest started as a simple idea: put the right people in the same room, for long enough that they actually talk. That idea found its home on the coast at Kaplankaya, where ten chapters of gatherings have been built around food, conversation, and people worth listening to.

We bring together people from different fields and different parts of the world and put them at the same tables for a few days at a time. Speakers, practitioners, founders, artists, and members of our community sit next to each other, not staged for an audience, talking the way people talk when the setting is right.

We think rooms like that produce something real. Not every conversation leads anywhere, but enough of them do.

HOW WE DO IT

Every gathering starts with who's in the room. We invite people for the specific thing they bring, not for their title, and we keep the list small enough that everyone can actually meet everyone.

From there, the details carry the weight. The meals, the pacing of the days, the setting, the way a conversation gets to run long if it's going somewhere. We pay attention to all of it, because the small things are usually what people remember.
